3.3.2 Managing Groups of Fields

Top  Previous  Next

There are two display group types in the system: the standard group and the options group.

The standard group in display form serves the same purpose as groups in other types of forms - a basic container. They are used to visually unite several form fields based on administrator preference and manage their position and layout within the entire form.

Options groups can contain only "Yes/No" types of form fields. These groups display its fields in a different manner:

names of all fields with value set to "Yes" are displayed in columns;
fields with undefined value or value set to "No" are not displayed.

The options type of group allows creation of list of special options that vehicle has.

To add new group, enter group name to the "Add a New Group" dialog box on the Display form modification page and click add button. After that, newly created group will appear at the bottom of the page. Then you can  move it using 'up' and 'down' arrows, delete it by clicking "Delete" icon, or rename it by entering new name to the group name field and clicking 'Save'.
